New Director appointed
On 6 June 2008, the CEIPI Administrative Council met at INPI (French national office) in Paris and elected a successor to Professor Yves Reboul, whose second five-year term as Director of the Centre ends on 31 August 2008.
The Council unanimously appointed Christophe Geiger, associate professor at Strasbourg's Robert Schuman University. He will start work as the new Director on 1 September 2008.
Christophe Geiger's profile is ideally suited to the new European and international programmes CEIPI has been developing in recent years. Head of department for France and French-speaking Africa at Munich's Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law, he is the author of many research and other publications on intellectual property, and a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and seminars.
