    Notice from the European Patent Office dated 8 January 2009 concerning revision of the request for grant form (Form 1001)

    The accession of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia1 to the European Patent Convention with effect from 1 January 2009 has given rise to the following changes to the request for grant form (EPA/EPO/OEB 1001, 04.082 version):

    The footnote to Section 31 - Designation of contracting states - now includes the new contracting state the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (MK), which no longer appears as an extension state in Section 33.1.

    The Notes on Form 1001 (Part II re Section 5 - Request for examination) have been amended to include the request for examination in Macedonian.

    The latest version (01.09) is available on the internet at www.epo.org. Copies of the previous version can however be used up without legal prejudice to the applicant.
