Decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 25 March 2009 revising the Office's fees and expenses
The President of the European Patent Office,
Having regard to the Regulation on the European qualifying examination for professional representatives before the European Patent Office as amended by decision of the Administrative Council of 10 December 2008, OJ EPO 2009, 9 (hereinafter REE), and in particular Article 17 thereof,
Having regard to the Implementing Provisions to the REE (hereinafter IPREE)1, and in particular Rules 7 to 9 thereof,
Has decided as follows:
Article 1
Pursuant to Article 3(1) of the Rules relating to Fees, points 12.1 and 12.2 of the extract from the schedule of fees annexed to the decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 31 January 2008 (OJ EPO 2008, 202) shall be amended to read as follows:
"12. Basic fee for the European qualifying examination for professional representatives (Art. 17 REE, Rules 7-9 IPREE) EUR 120."
Article 2
The basic fee laid down in Article 1 shall be binding for payments made on or after 1 April 2009.
Article 3
The fee for appeal of EUR 390 laid down in point 12.2 of the extract referred to in Article 1 (see OJ EPO 2008, 204) shall remain applicable to appeals relating to the European qualifying examination held in 2009.
Article 4
This decision shall enter into force on 1 April 2009.
