For these reasons it is decided that:
1. The decision under appeal is set aside.
2. The case is remitted to the opposition division with the order to maintain the patent on the basis of:
(a) Claims 1 to 14 according to auxiliary request IV filed with the proprietor's letter dated 12 September 2013;
(b) The amended description pages numbered 3 to 6 as filed during the oral proceedings.
