    8.6.2.  Failure to observe a time limit

    Where a the time limit for filing thea request for unitary effect is missed, see 2.4.     Re‑establishment of rights may be available, for example, where the non-observance of a time limit is the direct cause of either the lapse of the Unitary Patent under Rule 14(1)(b) UPR or a loss of any other right or means of redresslegal remedies. For details, see 5.4.

    Where a time limit is missed to rectify a deficiency in a request for registration of licences and other rights, the UPP Division will reject the request (see 6.4.37.5.3).
