II. Safety net

This part provides information as to whether a so-called safety-net has been implemented in the relevant participating Member State. The safety net is a mechanism providing the possibility to validate a European patent where a request for unitary effect has been rejected either by the EPO or the UPC, or where the unitary effect has been revoked by the UPC at the time when deadlines for validating the European patent have already expired.
