AL Albania
New fee rates
By Decree No. 883 of 13 May 2009, certain patent fees of the General Directorate of Patents and Trademarks have changed. Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Albania1 are advised that from 11 September 2009 the following rates apply:
1. Publication of translations of the European patent specification under Article 65 EPC: ALL 1 000
2. Correction of translations of the European patent specification under Article 65 EPC: ALL 2 000

Users of this brochure (14th edition) should amend Tables I, IV, columns 5 and 8, VI, column 1, VIII, column 2 and IX, column 4 accordingly.
1 Albania remains an extension state until 30 April 2010 and will become an EPC contracting state from 1 May 2010. The EPO has been informed that the fee rates stated here apply both to extended European patents as well as to European patents validated in Albania in the future.
