    New fee rates

    The Norwegian Industrial Property Office has informed us that some patent fees have been changed1.

    Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Norway are advised that from 1 January 2011 the following rates apply:

    1. Correction of translations of the claims under Article 67(3) EPC and publication or correction of translations of European patent specifications under Article 65 EPC:

    NOK 1 100 plus NOK 250 for each full or part page of the translation (including any drawings) in excess of 14 (unchanged)

    3. Conversion of European patent applications or patents into national patent applications or patents:

    NOK 4 200 application fee (including search fee) plus NOK 200 for the 11th and each subsequent claim.

    If the applicant is a private individual or a small enterprise of less than 20 man-years, the application fee is NOK 800 plus NOK 200 for the 11th and each subsequent claim (unchanged).

    Payment of fees

    The bank accounts for renewal fees and other fees concerning European patents in Norway have also changed.
