    INFORMATION FROM THE EPO

Official Journal special edition: "EPO Board of Appeal Case Law"

This annual publication reports on the boards' work in 2010, and gives various statistics. In particular, it reviews the decisions handed down by the boards last year on both substantive patent law and procedural issues. The special edition supplements and updates the book entitled "Case Law of the Boards of Appeal of the European Patent Office"1.

As from 1.1.2011, OJ subscriptions no longer include special editions (see notice from the EPO, OJ EPO 2010, 647).

Special edition 2/2011 – "EPO Board of Appeal Case Law 2010" – will be published in July 2011, and can be ordered (price: EUR 56) from the EPO's Vienna sub-office or online at https://secure.epo.org/products/oj/index.en.php.

1 The book takes account of decisions written by the end of December 2009, plus a number of important ones issued in the first two months of 2010. Its chapters have been fully revised and updated in the light of the EPC 2000 revision. The 6th (2010) edition costs EUR 72 and can be ordered from the EPO website: https://secure.epo.org/products/books/index.en.php.
