New fee rates

By Order No. 1318-A/2011 of 28 June 20111 some patent fees of the Portuguese Patent Office have been changed.

Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Portugal are advised that from 1 July 2011 the following rates apply:

1. Filing of European patent applications with INPI:

Transmittal fee: EUR 20.28

2. Publication of translation of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC (provisional protection):

Filing fee: EUR 50.70 if filed online, EUR 101.40 if filed on paper

3. Publication of translation of the patent under Article 65 EPC (validation of the European patent):

Filing fee: EUR 50.70 if filed online, EUR 101.40 if filed on paper

In the case of correction of names or addresses of the applicant or patentee, there is no fee.

In the case of substitute or supplementary documents, no fee if filed online or EUR 5.07 if filed on paper.

Filing fee: EUR 101.40 if filed online, EUR 202.80 if filed on paper

6. Conversion of European patent applications or patents into national utility model applications or utility models:

Filing fee: EUR 101.40 if filed online, EUR 202.80 if filed on paper

Examination fee: EUR 76.05 if filed online, EUR 152.10 if filed on paper

7. Registering a transfer, licence or other right:

Transfer fee: EUR 101.40 if filed online, EUR 126.75 if filed on paper

Licence fee: EUR 10.14 if filed online, EUR 20.28 if filed on paper

Compulsory licence fee: EUR 86.19 if filed online, EUR 101.40 if filed on paper
