Decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 12 July 2007 concerning the completion of technical preparations for the publication of European patent applications

The President of the European Patent Office, having regard to Article 10(2)(a) EPC und Rule 67(1) EPC, has decided as follows:

Article 1

The technical preparations for the publication of European patent applications shall be deemed to have been completed at the end of the day that comes five weeks1 before expiry of the eighteenth month following the date of filing or, if priority is claimed, following the earliest date of priority.

Article 2

This decision shall enter into force upon the entry into force of the revised text of the Convention in accordance with Article 8 of the Revision Act. The decision of the President of the EPO dated 25 April 2006 concerning the completion of technical preparations for the publication of European patent applications (OJ EPO 2006, 405) shall cease to have effect when this decision enters into force.
