New fee rates
The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) has informed us that some patent fees have been changed.1
Applicants for and proprietors of European patents validated in Morocco are advised that from 1 October 2017 the following rates apply:
1. Publication of the claims of the validated European patent application: MAD 1 200. A reduction is available for certain proprietor categories and/or for those using the online procedure.

3. Registering transfers, licences and other rights in the national patent Register:
- MAD 480 per deed (maximum: MAD 12 000) for recording a change of name, address or legal form
- MAD 960 per deed (maximum: MAD 24 000) for recording the transfer or deletion of rights.
