New fee rates
The European Patent Office was informed that by resolution No. 678/2023 published on 30 June 2023,1some patent fees of the Portuguese National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) were changed.
Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Portugal are advised that as of 1 July 2023 the following rates apply:
1. Filing of European patent applications with INPI:
Transmittal fee: EUR 11.80 if filed online, EUR 23.59 if filed on paper
2. Publication of translations of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC:
Fee for provisional protection: EUR 58.97 if filed online, EUR 117.94 if filed on paper.
Correction of the translation of the patent claims: EUR 29.48 if filed online, EUR 58.96 if filed on paper.
3. Publication of translations of the patent under Article 65 EPC:
Fee for national validation: EUR 58.97 if filed online, EUR 117.94 if filed on paper
Correction of the translation of the patent claims: EUR 29.48 if filed online, EUR 58.96 if filed on paper.
