Notice from the European Patent Office dated 14 May 2024 concerning the revision of WIPO Standard ST.26
1. The Committee on WIPO Standards adopted version 1.7 of WIPO Standard ST.26 at its 11th session.1This new version will enter into force on 1 July 2024.2
2. As from 1 July 2024, sequence listings for European patent applications for which a Standard ST.26 sequence listing is required must therefore comply with either version 1.6 or version 1.7 of the standard.3 For international applications filed on or after 1 July 2024, the new version 1.7 applies; sequence listings submitted after filing of an international application filed before that date may use either version 1.6 or version 1.7.4
3. Users are strongly advised to use the latest version of the WIPO Sequence software to generate a sequence listing under WIPO Standard ST.26.5 They can sign up for WIPO's mailing list on WIPO Sequence and related issues to ensure that they are kept informed of any software updates.
