INFORMATION FROM THE EPO
EASY in Belgium
EASY is a software program, developed by the EPO, with a module called EP-EASY which enables European patent applications to be filed in electronic form.
In accordance with the Notice from the President of the EPO dated 22 July 19971, the program is available to all applicants, and European patent applications filed using it must comply with the conditions prescribed.
On 1 January 1999, the Belgian Patent Office (Office de la Propriété Industrielle) in Brussels joins the list of central industrial property offices at which EASY applications may be filed.
