National fees in euro
In view of the introduction of the euro, the patent fees in Spain have been laid down in the new currency.
Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Spain are advised that from 1 January 2002 the following rates apply:
1. Publication of translations of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC:
EUR 90.18;
EUR 84.32 for translations on magnetic data carrier.
2. Publication of translations of the patent specification under Article 65 EPC:
EUR 240.43 plus EUR 9.66 for each page of the translation in excess of 22;
EUR 203.59 plus EUR 7.72 for translations on magnetic data carrier.

4. Conversion of European patent applications or patents into national patent applications or patents:
Filing fee: EUR 79.82
Fee for each foreign priority: EUR 18.48
5. Registering a transfer, licences and other rights: EUR 11.19 for each entry.
Updating of the information brochure "National law relating to the EPC"
Users of the EPO information brochure "National law relating to the EPC" (11th edition) are asked to make the appropriate amendments to the amounts of fees shown in Tables III.B, column 2, IV, column 3, VI, column 1, VII, column 2, as well as IX, column 4.
