For these reasons it is decided that:
1. The decision under appeal is set aside.
2. The patent is maintained on the basis of the claims filed on 3 November 2006 and allowed by the then competent board of appeal in the decision T 506/04 (supra) and the description adapted thereto filed as main request on 15 July 2011.
