1. For the purpose of Article 123(2) EPC, "the content of the application as filed" does not include any priority documents, even if they were filed on the same day as the European patent application.
2. It is not permissible to delete from an independent claim a feature which the application as originally filed consistently presents as being an essential feature of the invention, since this would constitute a violation of Article 123(2) EPC.
