MIPEF: Lighting the Path for Intellectual Property Education in Europe

Welcome to the heart of the Modular IP Education Framework (MIPEF), a new initiative by the European Patent Academy. At the MIPEF, we blend the theoretical with the practical, curating a dynamic learning experience for both universities and students.

Universities partnering with the MIPEF can seamlessly weave our Intellectual Property (IP) course into their curriculum. This course, co-endorsed with the EPO, is tailored specifically for Master’s and PhD candidates. The MIPEF's rich array of digital IP education ranges from live sessions to interactive forums, all culminating in a marked final assignment.

For our student learners, the MIPEF is the bridge to a world-class IP learning journey. Here, knowledge is backed by the expertise of a leading global authority on patents. Students can immerse themselves in a plethora of course formats, engage with IP experts, and draw inspiration from the tales of European Inventor Award finalists and victors. Beyond just learning, each student has the chance to earn an EPO certification and up to 6 ECTS credits from their respective university.
