A published European patent application which has been accorded a filing date and designates Montenegro is identical to a regular national patent application. The European patent designating Montenegro provides the same rights as a national patent from the date when the European Patent Office publishes the information on the grant of the European patent in the European Patent Bulletin. The patent holder is obliged to submit to the competent authority a request for registration of the European patent in the Patent Register and a translation of the claims of the granted European patent into Montenegrin and to pay the prescribed compensation for the special costs of publication and printing of the translation of the claims.
