Advanced lecture series: photovoltaics
This series will explain how patents help to protect inventions related to photovoltaics and contribute to a sustainable future. Participants will see how patent protection can be obtained for a wide range of technical subject-matter (such as materials, devices, and processes) and will become familiar with typical steps and challenges in the patent-granting process specific to this field. The materials, devices and processes will mainly focus on satellite solar cells, silicon and perovskite technologies.
This series will also explain how patents help to prevent the unauthorised commercial exploitation of inventions by third parties, how they help to find and attract investors and partners and to follow trends. The four online lectures in this series are an ideal opportunity for participants to interact with EPO experts, IP experts and inventors specialising in the field of photovoltaics.
