Following the announcement of this year's finalists for the European Inventor Award 2014 last week, we have now opened the competition to the public - you can now vote for your favourite individual or team to win the Popular Prize.
Introduced last year as an additional prize category, the Popular Prize is the only category not awarded by the jury. Instead, the winner is selected by the public.
This year, you can cast your vote either on this website or via Facebook, and you can vote for your favourite - or favourites - once per day.
Participants can also take part in a prize draw to win one of 20 myFC PowerTrekk fuel cell chargers that use the hydrogen in water to produce electricity.
The winner of the Popular Prize 2014 will be announced along with the other five categories - Industry, SMEs, Research, Non-European countries and Lifetime achievement - at the European Inventor Award ceremony on 17 June in Berlin.
