The formal requirements that an application has to meet are examined by the Receiving Section and relate to:
(i)representation
(ii)signature
(iii)physical requirements of the application
(iv)abstract
(v)request for grant
(vi)claim to priority
(vii)designation of inventor
(viii)translations, where required
(ix)the presence of at least one claim
(x)filing and search fees.
