2.21 Can an applicant request that an earlier search be taken into account? 

2.21.001The applicant may file a request with the receiving Office that the result of an earlier search carried out by the EPO or by any other office be taken into account. This option can be selected in the PCT request form, continuation of Box No. VII (item 1). A refund of the international search fee is, however, granted only under the conditions set out in point 2.22.001.
