5.11.2Changes of name 

5.11.007On request, a change of the applicant's or proprietor's name will be entered in the European Patent Register as long as proceedings are pending before the EPO and so long as it does not involve any change to the legal identity of the applicant/proprietor. Relevant documentary evidence enabling the EPO to verify the change must be produced. Registration of a change of name is free of charge.
