4.1 General

Overview

4.1.14.Which states may be elected?

4.1.052The filing of the demand constitutes the election of all PCT contracting states designated in the international application and bound by PCT Chapter II for a national and where possible a regional patent at the same time (see point 4.1.021). If after filing the PCT request the applicant has validly withdrawn a designation, the filing of the demand cannot constitute the election of that state.
