Overview

6.4 Examination of the priority document 

The Receiving Section is not required to examine the content of the priority document. However, where it is obvious, e.g. from the title of the document, that the document concerns subject-matter quite different from that of the application, the applicant should be informed that that the document filed might not be relevant.
