Speakers
Sonia Pérez Díez
Director Online User Engagement, EPO
Sonia joined the EPO in 2020 as Director of IT Planning, overseeing areas such as IT Project Office, IT Budget, Sourcing, Risks, Compliance and Information Security. During her time at the EPO, Sonia has played a significant role in the governance and execution of the SP2023 and was appointed in 2022 as Programme Manager for the New Online User Engagement programme, which focused on enhancing the EPO’s online presence and engagement with external stakeholders. In 2024, Sonia transitioned to the role of Director of Online User Engagement, where she will continue to drive the evolution of MyEPO services within the framework of SP2028.
Dirk Geivaerts
Head of Department Front Office Tools, EPO
Dirk joined the EPO in 2000 as examiner working in the field of Civil Engineering. Throughout his examiner career Dirk has been closely involved with the development and maintenance of various key software applications of the EPO. In 2019 Dirk joined BIT and is currently managing the team responsible for the MyEPO Services.
Stamatios Gkinis
Technical Application Owner, EPO
Stamatios began working at the EPO in 2017 as the project manager for Online Filing 2.0. Since then, he has remained in the Front Office team in various roles related to Online Filing, and he is now the technical application owner of Online Filing 2.0. Prior to joining the EPO, Stamatios worked in the private sector where he gained significant business knowledge around patents and trademarks as well as experience in the implementation of enterprise IT projects.
