8.2.2 Participation of members of the division from different locations 

The members of the examining and opposition divisions may likewise connect to oral proceedings by videoconference from different locations. They will then deliberate and vote among themselves via a separate communication channel. The venue of oral proceedings will be deemed to be the location where the division is set up.

The applicant or representative will be informed that the members of the division are participating remotely at the beginning of the oral proceedings, once the connection has been established and before they are formally opened.
