8.5.1 Use of computer-generated slideshows in oral proceedings
8.5.1.2 Examination proceedings (ex parte)
As no other party is affected, examining divisions may adopt a more liberal approach than opposition divisions. An examining division will therefore consider allowing a computer-generated slideshow to be presented at oral proceedings even if the slides are not submitted in advance, provided that:
(a)it feels able to deal with this late-filed material without unduly prolonging the proceedings. The same considerations as for other late-filed facts and evidence apply (see E‑VI, 2).
(b)the submissions will help to resolve the questions at issue.
