1Simultaneous protection (by national patents and extended or validated European patents) allowed?
No; if a validated European patent and a national patent have the same filing date or priority date and were issued to the same person or their successor, to the extent it covers the same invention as the validated European patent the national patent ceases to have effect from the date on which the deadline for filing opposition to the European patent expires with no opposition having been filed or the date on which a final decision upholding the European patent is issued.
