8.1. Abridged reasons under Art. 15(7) RPBA

Under Art. 15(7) RPBA, the reasons for the decision, or parts thereof, may, with the explicit consent of the parties, be put in writing in abridged form.

In T 1497/17, the parties agreed that an abridged decision within the meaning of Art. 15(7) RPBA and referring to what the board had set out in its summons could be issued on the points of novelty and inventive step. See also T 561/18, T 947/19 and T 1050/19.
