Some recent decisions following G 1/24 (OJ 2025, A60) are summarised below to see how the boards apply the requirement that the description and drawings should be consulted to interpret the claims to assess patentability under Art. 52 to 57 EPC. In addition, several decisions have been included where reference has been made to the principles set out in G 1/24 in the context of assessing clarity or added subject-matter.
