6. Missing parts and correction of erroneously filed application document or parts

In any case where it is established that parts of the application are missing and/or application documents were erroneously filed, the applicant may invoke the remedies available in the PCT and the EPC.

As regards the provisions on filing missing parts and on the correction of erroneously filed application documents or parts, Rule 56 and Rule 56a apply in the proceedings before the EPO as designated/elected Office. Similar options exist under the PCT in the proceedings before the receiving Office in the international phase under Rule 20.5 to 20.8 PCT.
