2.3.1 Examples of the exercise of discretion under Rule 137(3)

Three examples of the use of Rule 137(3) are presented below. The guiding principles in these examples are:

(i)a communication/written opinion has been sent highlighting an objection against the application

(ii)the allowability analysis of the requested amendments is very limited and can usually be carried out in a straightforward manner.
