The EPO is launching a new round of user satisfaction surveys and your feedback is more important than ever
Every two years we gather feedback on our products and services. Your feedback on changes brought about by the coronavirus pandemic make this year especially important.
User consultation is a key element of our ISO 9001-certified quality management system. While we gather qualitative feedback through many formal and informal channels, such as meetings with user associations or via our website, quantitative feedback from anonymous user satisfaction surveys gives us a representative view of the satisfaction level of our applicants and their representatives.
There will be five main surveys and the results will show us how satisfied users are with all stages of the end-to-end patent granting process, as well as with our user support and online services. We're particularly interested in your feedback on oral proceedings in opposition by VICO, MyEPO Portfolio, the new Espacenet and on the Unitary Patent.
These surveys are carried out on behalf of the EPO by BERENT Deutschland GmbH. Your feedback will remain anonymous, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank those contacted by BERENT for participating. We are working closely with BERENT to ensure that interviews remain short and are kept to a minimum.
You can decline to participate either when you are contacted, or in advance by sending an email to usersurveys@epo.org. You can also use this email address to send us any questions you may have.
The results of the surveys, as well as details of the changes we'll make in response to your feedback, will be published on our website next year.
