Legal event codes from Asia in INPADOC

With over 70% of all patent applications now originating from Asia, it is increasingly important not only to monitor filings but also to stay informed about the evolving legal status of these applications.

This lecture provides an in-depth overview of the INPADOC legal event database and demonstrates how it adapts to ongoing developments in patent laws across key Asian jurisdictions. You learn to understand legal events originating in those jurisdictions and what it means for the current legal situation of a patent application. We will complement this information with findings in the respective national registers.
