UP in practice - an overview for users

Two years have passed since the launch of the Unitary Patent (UP) and the EPO is now offering a refresher for users on the procedure to obtain unitary protection and other related services. In particular, this lecture provides in-depth information on the submission of requests for unitary effect, requests for compensation of translation costs, requests for re-establishment of rights and requests for the registration of transfers of rights or licences. The lecture also provides insights into the practice of the EPO's Unitary Patent Division.
