Create – Protect – Innovate: Bringing ideas to market (MIPEF: Advanced level)
Within MIPEF, this course is recommended for master’s and PhD students in STEM and other disciplines, except those enrolled in business-related or law programmes such as MBA, entrepreneurship, economics, innovation management and finance. Participants must have completed the MIPEF Entry-Level Course or be able to demonstrate basic IP knowledge.
This course is aimed at students who want to know more about patentability requirements, patent enforcement, technology scouting, commercialisation and the practical use of IPRs through examples drawn from innovation practice.
The course comprises the following modules:
- Module I: Grant of patents
- Module II: Enforcement of patents
- Module III: Scouting and assessment of technology
- Module IV: IP commercialisation
- Module V: Use of IPRs
