Last week 32 new European interns started at the EPO sites in Munich, The Hague, Brussels and Vienna as part of the Pan-European Seal professional internship programme.

The programme is a co-operation between the EPO, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) and renowned European universities and educational institutions and offers young university graduates the possibility to gain valuable on-the-job multicultural professional work experience in the competitive world of IP.

In total 92 highly motivated interns from leading European universities in 13 countries joined the first round of the program. At the EPO the interns will work in various departments and will benefit not only from on-the-job coaching, but also from a range of IP-specific training. At the end of their internship, the best interns will be awarded a merit diploma, while all will receive a diploma of completion.

To date 19 universities have joined the initiative and further institutions are in the process of joining. Those interested in becoming a member of the Pan-European Seal can apply to paneuropeanseal@epo.org.
