The EPO has published its Social Report 2015, which provides a comprehensive overview of staff and working conditions at the Office.
First published in 2013, the Social Report aims to increase transparency and build a common understanding of the current situation and challenges ahead among those involved in the social dialogue. It provides information on employment, professional development, social security, health, safety and welfare services and social dialogue.
"As an employer, the EPO is fully aware that our staff constitutes our primary asset for delivering a high level of performance in the long run. The EPO is therefore fully committed to ensuring best-in-class working conditions for all employees and to promoting transparent and constructive social dialogue," EPO President Benoît Battistelli wrote in the foreword.
The 2015 report reflects the fact that last year the New Career System and sickness and invalidity reforms came into effect, requiring adaptations to the presentation of the data and changes in terminology.
